Surgery Results

This time last night Joy and I had just finished praying via Skpe. We each spoke about what this night would be like. How if God choose to perform a miracle and remove this mass or what if it was indeed cancer. With each case we talked about the way we would act. Why do we as human try to project what we are going to feel about situations we "might feel?" Because today I can honestly tell you when I received the results, "my planed reaction" was not what I projected.

They did find the mass was cancerous and did a total hysterectomy with a partial removal of her colon, Chemotherapy will be part of her treatment. At this point that is all we know. Joy's recovery is just beginning and she will need her sisters in Christ more than ever. This part of her journey is called "surviving cancer" and it will not be easy, but everything is possible thru Christ.

Continued love for all of you who are praying and love Joy. Thank you for your prayers for me as well.
Standing in the gap for "Faith",
Diane

Standing with you holding on to hope, asking Him for joy. My heart is broken and a bit in shock. So glad we could talk today. That helped. Thank you so much for keeping me posted. You are also in my prayers.

Father, please surround Joy with a sense of your sweet abiding presence as she spends this night alone in the hospital. PLEASE give her rest and bring her family to her side in the morning to walk with her through these first steps. I pray You would also provide a way for Diane to be there and a place for her to stay. You say You will never leave or forsake us and I believe that with all my heart. Please assure Joy that she is not alone> That You are with her and that we are too!! In Jesus' name, amen.

God is SO answering your prayers!! Joy is doing amazingly well!! Sharon (Joy's older sister) and I just were by her side until visiting hours were over. She is fully aware of all she has been through, and is choosing victory! There is a supernatural peace and strength that is tangible in Joy's room and it is PRAYER!! Keep them coming!!!! And, get this - her night nurse is a twin - a truly kindred spirit!! And as I left, she promised me that she would take care of my sister - and God will ensure she does!!!! Love you all, from a broken but trusting place ... Japhia (Joy's twin)

My heart is heavy as I head off to bed; there are no adequate words at a time like this. Only love and prayers extended to all of you beyond the bounds of reason. I know this one.

God is faithful; he is good; he will carry Joy through her days of treatment and beyond. Please tell her of my great love for her this night. Thank you for updating us. I've been heavy with concern all day.

But thanks be to God for this surgery and for a plan of attack. He's got it all covered.

Blessed sweet peace to everyone~elaine

I don’t have words to express.

Oh Jesus, intervene on my behalf and pray according to God’s will. The way of victory from God’s angle WILL bring the most glory to your favored daughter, Joy. We trust you right now. We believe in your plan right now. Please give her sweet and peaceful sleep tonight. Keep her safe under your tender-loving arms. Amen.

I woke in the wee hours of the morning here in Switzerland and asked God why He woke me. I felt compelled to pray for peace for Joy and her family and to give praise for all He has done in her life. She is a pure reflection of God's love!

I am now praying Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of darkness, I fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and your staff comfort me.

Thank you Diane for keeping us posted!

Joy, these results were not what I was hoping to find when I came early this am to check the blog but I know that they didn't take God by surprise. You are in His Hands and already it sounds like His peace is all over you!

Jane from SC Joy just learned of all this when I listened to Wendy's videos - had gotten behind a bit. Just wanted to say I am praying for you. You are so special to me because January 2010 you were there for me praying for me as I wondered what direction God wanted me to go. Now it is my turn to pray for you and I am girl!! God is doing amazing things in you and through you and I know others are going to come to know Him because of your journey you are walking now. Love you girl! Praying for comfort and good rest at this point.
